Kate's Victoria Triathlon

She did it. In just over 4h, Kate finished an Olympic
Triathlon. We are very proud of her.
Parking the car far away it took a while
to get these two monkies to the race. Ava brought
her home made sign to cheer for mommy.
She looked like she could do another one right away.
Kate did not look tired at all.
Ava waited for half an hour with her sign
trying to spot mommy coming out of the forrest.
A medallion to show for it.
 Swim, bike and run.
 A hug for the athlete.
Jack seems to say "Kind a cool mom".
We had some time to walk around beautiful
Victoria, BC.
Jack found an old friend, Sully.
 Ava practicing her balancing act.
 Great walk along the waterfront.
The day after we stopped by Butchart Gardens.
Absolutley amazing display of flowers and plants,
and that is coming from someone with a mediocre
interest in local flora.
 The park is very large.
Umbrellas on hand for the downpour we experienced.
Amazing flowers I've never seen before.
..and some a bit more familiar, thought they don't
look this good in our garden.
 Lots of rain.
The old carousel amused this little guy.
 Ready to explore more.
Jack climbing on rocks near the water.
Taking the ferry back to Anacortes.
Hey, a photo of me. I know why, that
hairdo is not much to look at.
Yup, nothing like a round of boxing on deck.
Gulf and San Juan Islands, gorgeous.
 Strong winds at the stern.
Not many indications of "old seamanship"
on a ferry except for a few details.
Sun peaking out on the last leg of the trip.
 "Bye Victoria".
Back home, Jack immediately found a
tree to climb in.
 "Hay yah, kung fu Panda".
"Come on Jack. Let's go home."

Early summer

 "No photo, please."
 Disco party dancing with Sanna.
Looking very grown up. Dandelions for mom.
A favorite past time.

Many many Jacks
