August 2013

Ava loves painting. I set up the easel and she took a plastic trash
can and sat for an hour painting - "Jupiter with a storm appearing"
(her title).
I am surprised by her focus. Nothing else existed for an hour,
well apart from snacking a bit on some Goldfish.
I suppose it is not surprising when both
grandpas are painters.
Here the finishing touches are being applied.
In an apple orchard on the outskirts of Wenatchee
This was a long hot summer and Ava and Jack spent much
time in the pool and having fun with the garden hose.
 In the pool in Wenatchee.
..and we went to zee town of Leavenworth wit lots
of zi German heritage....Lederhosen and all.
Who knew that a Nutcracker museum would be great.
 Yours truly Jackminator in Leavenworth
 "That pool was cold mom"!
 At Snoqualmie pass
6am on a summer morning. Only Jack and dad are awake
and the sun shone in nicely through the kitchen window.
Jack posed away giving me his best faces.
